On October 23, the Sir Ian McKellen and the Royal Shakespeare Company watched an astonishing performance. The RSC officially became Hobart Shakespeareans. The room was bursting with Joy, and no one wanted the day to end.
Every December 24th, the Hobart Shakespeareans come from all over the nation to feed the homeless. The children sing, play, and bring comfort and joy to people less fortunate than they. It is the ultimate reunion, as children as young as nine work side by side with college students.
On July 4th, 2007, the Hobart Shakespeareans gave a wonderful performance for the sisters of Alpha Delta Kappa. The audience response was overwhelming. The sorority shocked the children with a gift of almost $6000.
After a year of work, the Hobart Shakespeareans performed Macbeth throughout May 2007.
